Fine Arts Festival is a discipleship tool of National Youth Ministries designed to help students discover, develop and deploy their ministry gifts. Beginning in September each year, over 65,000 junior and senior high school students around the nation begin preparing their entries for the District and National Fine Arts Festivals. Students may enter as many as 66 categories offered in 8 main divisions: Art, Communication, Dance, Drama, Exhibition, Instrumental, Vocal, and Writing.

Students participate at their District Fine Arts Festival in the Spring of each year, with the hopes of qualifying for the National Festival held in August. This massive and exciting event is held in a different city each year, with the 2016 festival having taken place in Louisville, Kentucky. You might be surprised to learn just how many artistic categories you could enter! Visual art, photography, songwriting, musical theatre, spoken word, and even children's ministry lessons just begin the list. Find out about all the categories you could participate in below.
